The Directorate-General for Research & Innovation of the European Commission published a report on text and data mining (TDM). TDM is a technique for analysing large stores of digital data. The report was compiled by a group of independent experts under the direction of professor Ian Hargreaves. It presents the general context of TDM including processes of standardization, and economic and legal issues.
