IATUL Conference 2022

To encourage global participation the IATUL Travel Grant Programme provides financial assistance to library and/or information professionals from developing countries to attend the annual IATUL Conference.

IATUL Travel Grants will be awarded to first-time attendees of this conference. Applications are encouraged from librarians at any institution that is an IATUL member or would qualify for IATUL membership. When applying for a Travel Grant, please remember that English is the official language of the organization and its annual conference.

IATUL Fall Seminar 2022

IATUL is issuing a call for proposals to host the 2022 IATUL Fall Seminar. IATUL hosts several different types of events in close cooperation with local partners. The main event is the Annual IATUL Conference. In addition, IATUL typically hosts a Seminar in autumn. Additional Directors’ Summits or Focus Workshops may also be offered throughout the year, in response to proposals from member libraries.

The Fall Seminar is devoted to a theme of importance to the members and hosted by an IATUL member institution.  Recent themes have included: “Connecting in a disconnected world” (virtual seminar Gdansk, 2021) and “Sustainable crisis management in libraries” (Innsbruck, 2020); “Open science and data management” (Gdansk, 2019). For the Fall 2022 IATUL Seminar there is some financial assistance available to support the event.

IATUL events aim to offer a professional and close exchange among the member libraries by giving the possibility to meet international colleagues in person or online. SAVE THE DATE

The 43rd International Association of University Libraries (IATUL) Annual Conference 2023 will be proudly hosted by Zayed University in Dubai and the American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.

Please save the date for 13-16 March 2023. The conference will be early in the calendar year for delegates to enjoy the pleasant UAE spring weather and avoid the summer desert heat.

We look forward to offering you a warm welcome with opportunities for engaging discussion and a chance for librarians and friends from around the world to meet here in the Emirates.

The Call for Papers is open NOW! The deadline for proposals/abstracts is December 2, 2022.
