IATUL membership is institutional with the library director/managing director as contact for the institution. All library staff of the member institution are entitled to the membership discount for conference registration. Membership is based on the calendar year, renewable in January. However, for those who join in the last quarter of the year (October to December), the membership fee will cover the following calendar year.

Membership Fees

The annual membership fee for ordinary and non-commercial associate members will be set at € 250.

There will be an exception on membership fees for the 46 countries which are currently designated by the United Nations as “least developed countries (LDCs)”. As an Association we need to recognise and respond to the financial barriers that can prevent some countries from fully engaging with IATUL. The membership fees for institutions in these countries will be reduced to 50% of the ordinary IATUL membership fee. For 2022, this would be €125.

Ordinary Membership
Available to university libraries/information services of institutions which offer doctoral degrees.

Associate Membership
IATUL also welcomes membership applications from organisations that supply services to university libraries should
they wish to be identifi ed with the Association’s activities. Associate membership is available, subject to confi rmation
by the Board, to libraries/information services and commercial organisations interested in supporting the aims and
objectives of IATUL.
