In the last few years, we saw libraries across the world take on key roles in driving research initiatives, leading to the creation of research support positions and the role of liaison librarians also shifting. The IATUL SIG-MaRI recognised the lack of formal training and development programmes to upskill staff transitioning into research support roles.
