Andrew’s research and teaching focuses on the response of the information profession to such trends as datafication and the rise of artificial intelligence, changing approaches to learning and the perceived societal crisis in mental health and wellbeing. He wrote a report for CILIP on AI and has published a number of articles on the subject. He is the convenor of the IFLA special interest group on AI and also chair elect of the ASIST SIG on AI.

ChatGPT and Information Literacy: Intersecting with the ACRL Information Literacy Framework

Allison is a Rhode Island native who received her BA in History-Secondary Education from Providence College, her MLIS from the University of Rhode Island, and is expected to earn her MBA from Bryant University in 2024. She has a wide array of academic interests including: emerging technology, team-based learning, evidence-based medicine, publishing ethics, and intellectual freedom. In her free time Allison enjoys crocheting, hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, and rooting for her beloved Bryant Bulldogs and Boston sports teams. In January 2023 Allison wrote an early blog post, reflecting on the relationship between ChatGPT and the Library.

Artificial Intelligence and the Information Literacy Librarian: Developing workshops to teach critical AI

Kristine is an academic librarian and researcher in the UAE. Her research interests are interdisciplinary in nature, with a global focus on the relationship between media and information literacy, information access, and policy. She is a co-author of UNESCO’s Media and Information Literacy Curriculum for Educators and Learners and has published several articles on information literacy. She is on the editorial board for the Journal of Education for Library and Information Science, a founding board member of the upcoming UAE’s Association for Academic and School Librarians, and a past-chair of the Information Literacy Network of the Gulf.
