IATUL Special Interest Group for Information Literacy
The IATUL Special Interest Group for Information Literacy (SIG IL) promotes collaboration and sharing of best practice among IATUL members in the area of information literacy. In accordance with IATUL's organisational profile the focus of the special interest group is on information literacy methods, theory and practice in an academic or research environment.
Founded in 2012, the SIG provides a global platform to share experience, research, documents and news relating to information and related literacies, including digital literacy and media literacy, for IATUL members and beyond. We contribute to IATUL's service portfolio to support member libraries through collaborative projects and training events. The group meets online on a monthly basis, providing a yearly update at the Annual IATUL conference.
